Hi! Welcome to my little corner of the internets!
I started knitting over Thanksgiving weekend in 2004, somewhat on a whim. I had just been out with a friend who was knitting and thought it looked like fun. Suddenly I had to learn. I quickly became hooked and not long after discovered blogs and other online resources that fueled my kindling obsession. Since then I have developed creative stash storage solutions (necessity being the mother of invention), have a queue longer than is humanly possible, and think about knitting when I really should be working.
On the personal front, I’m a 37-yo Angeleno transplant living in wonderful South Pasadena with one boy (dear boyfriend N) and two cats (Topaz and Solel), who are more spoiled than is strictly legal (the cats I mean). I moved to LA in spring of 2000 with said boy. Before that, I grew up in northern Indiana and then lived several years further south in Indianapolis. I have a BA in Geology from Indiana University and work as an environmental consultant.
When not rabidly knitting, I also enjoy reading, gardening, watching movies, and yoga (though I don’t do it nearly enough).
I can be found on Ravelry as “sknitty” and at jillian at nateweaver dot net.
